National Youth Parliament Festival 2023: Journey of a lifetime
On 21 January, 2023 a notice was circulated by NSS Programme Officer of VKCTE Asst. Professor Mini Meto regarding National Youth Parliament Festival 2023. I along with Miss Lili Dawe were the sole participants from VKCTE. The National Youth Parliament journey entailed of competition at three levels ie District, State and National where every level had different themes and subjects that the participants had to speak on. Every level had its own panel of judges consisting of an eminent politicians, retired/serving government officials, eminent artist/ youth worker, Entrepreneur and Academicians of repute who marked the participants on the prescribed criteria ie Content and substance, Communication/ Oratory skills, Presentation skills, Clarity of ideas and thoughts and confidence level.
District Level
The district level youth parliament, Arunachal Pradesh was held on 28th January, 2023 on virtual mode via google meet. A total of 71 youths participated in the district level youth parliament. There were three subjects that were provided and the participants had to speak on one of the topics given below:
The National Youth Parliament Festival’s (NYPF) goal is to give young people a platform to express themselves as they choose careers in public service and other fields. On the concept presented by the Prime Minister in his Mann Ki Baat Speech on December 31, 2017, NYPF was founded. The first edition of NYPF 2019 was held with the topic “Be the Voice of New India and Discover Solutions and Contribute to Policy” with the involvement of 88,000 youth in physical mode, drawing inspiration from the concept.

National Level
The national level youth parliament took place on 1st and 2nd March, 2023 at the Central Hall, Parliament of India. A total of 87 youths were selected out which 29 youths who placed first in the state level youth parliament were allowed to compete. The event was graced by Minister of state for Youth and Sports Affairs Shri Nisith Pramanik addressed the National Youth Parliament Festival (NYPF) finals on its inaugural day today in the Central Hall of Parliament, New Delhi. Continuation of Competitive Session was organized on the first day. Twenty-Nine winners of State Youth Parliament (SYP) got an opportunity to speak before the National Jury comprising of Sh. Anurag Sharma, Member of Parliament Lok Sabha, Shri Manoj Tiwari, Member of Parliament Lok Sabha, Shri Sanjay Kumar, Secretary, Department of School Education and Literacy, Shri Kanchan Gupta, Sr. Advisor, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting today. The subjects provided were:

- India’s G-20 Presidency: One Earth-One Family-One Future
- Peace Building and Reconciliation: Ushering in an era of no war
